Get ready to serve, rally, and have fun! Rose Hill School is launching an exciting new Tennis Club designed especially for children in Reception to Year 4. Whether your child is completely new to tennis or already loves hitting a ball, this club offers a friendly and energetic introduction to the sport.

During the sessions, children will learn:
Fundamental skills – including balance, coordination, footwork, and racket control
Basic strokes – such as forehand, backhand, volleys, and simple serves
Tennis ABCs – agility, balance, and coordination through fun activities and mini challenges
Tactical awareness – understanding where to stand, how to aim, and simple point play
Sportsmanship & confidence – learning to play fairly, take turns, and support teammates

Through age-appropriate games, mini-matches, and creative drills, pupils will build their skills while having lots of fun on court. It’s a fantastic way to stay active, develop confidence, and fall in love with a lifelong sport!

Got questions?
Check out the questions we get asked a lot by those attending our sessions. If you can't find the answer then get in touch with us.

You can find the address of all our locations by visiting our locations page here.

Don't forget to bring your tennis racket, packed lunch, water bottle, hat, suncream, and waterproofs.

In the event of very poor weather conditions or extreme heat, a coached tennis session may be cancelled. The decision on whether to cancel a session for health and safety reasons will be taken by the Coach responsible for that session.

Most sessions will go ahead in poor weather. Please assume in the first instance that all sessions will go ahead and bring suitable waterproof or cold weather clothes for the conditions.

If the Coach decides that a session needs to be cancelled before the session begins, or before 20 minutes into the session, this session will be credited or refunded (unless it is a holiday camp). If at least 20 minutes of the session is coached then no refund or credit can be claimed. Sometimes, decisions will be taken last minute, as the weather is so changeable. While we are always keen for sessions to go ahead, please respect that the health and safety of our players and coaches is our first consideration.

Please note that holiday camps will not be cancelled in the event of bad weather. If it is not possible to play outside because of weather conditions, children will undertake indoor activities. No refunds will be given for bad weather in the case of holiday camps.
