A fantastic way to start your morning at Holmewood House Parents morning. Sessions are hosted by fully qualified LTA professional licensed coach George Ross & Ellen Cramer. The location of the lessons depend on the weather. We will try and be outside as the Tennis courts are the best place for the lessons. However if the weather is against us we will go to the sports hall.
These sessions are designed to be fun and social, providing a great opportunity to make new friends while improving your tennis abilities and skills. Throughout the sessions, you will learn new skills, stay fit, play lots of tennis based games and understand tactics for singles and doubles match play, and have the chance to meet new friends and socialize. Every week, a group coached session is held, focusing on plenty of instruction with an emphasis on the "Social" and "Matchplay" aspects of tennis.
If you consider yourself a beginner or improver, the Rusty Rackets Tuesday morning class from 8:30–9:30 AM with Coach Ellen Cramer would be the best fit.
If you are more of an intermediate or advanced player, then the 8:30–9:45 AM class with Coach George Ross would be the most suitable option.
If you are undecided on whether to join and have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
You can find the address of all our locations by visiting our locations page here.
Don't forget to bring your tennis racket, packed lunch, water bottle, hat, suncream, and waterproofs.
In the event of very poor weather conditions or extreme heat, a coached tennis session may be cancelled. The decision on whether to cancel a session for health and safety reasons will be taken by the Coach responsible for that session.
Most sessions will go ahead in poor weather. Please assume in the first instance that all sessions will go ahead and bring suitable waterproof or cold weather clothes for the conditions.
If the Coach decides that a session needs to be cancelled before the session begins, or before 20 minutes into the session, this session will be credited or refunded (unless it is a holiday camp). If at least 20 minutes of the session is coached then no refund or credit can be claimed. Sometimes, decisions will be taken last minute, as the weather is so changeable. While we are always keen for sessions to go ahead, please respect that the health and safety of our players and coaches is our first consideration.
Please note that holiday camps will not be cancelled in the event of bad weather. If it is not possible to play outside because of weather conditions, children will undertake indoor activities. No refunds will be given for bad weather in the case of holiday camps.
